This lens has been designed with professionals in mind, combining exceptional optical performance with a comprehensive suite of features. These include a de-clickable and lockable aperture ring, a customisable AFL button, a manual focus lock switch, a lockable petal-type hood, and a rear filter holder in addition to the standard front filter thread. Its advanced optical construction — incorporating two FLD, one SLD and four aspherical elements — ensures images of superb clarity, with minimal distortion, chromatic aberration or sagittal coma flare. The result is highly detailed, accurate rendering from edge to edge.

The robust petal-type hood locks securely into place, with a rubberised grip for easy handling, and a durable brass mount with rubber sealing offers added protection against dust and moisture.
